Job summary

Aspire is seeking a Risk Analytics Manager in the UK to oversee risk management for UK activities and drive risk analytics at group level. This foundational role helps build the risk function from the ground up as Aspire scales in a FCA-regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of risk management experience in UK financial services.
• Strong data management and analytical skills with Python and SQL.
• Ability to lead and drive risk projects with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FCA expectations for EMIs and outsourcing risk.
• Excellent communication with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Report on financial, operational, compliance, and regulatory risks, incl. KRIs, across UK and Group.
• Analyse, quantify, and surface risk exposure with product and data teams.
• Develop project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
• Lead strategic risk management — defining problems, diagnosing challenges, implementing.
• Own the UK risk register and ensure escalation to the Risk Committee and Board.
• Liaise with Group Risk to align UK risks within the risk framework.
• Support regulatory engagement, including FCA interactions.
• Own ICAAP and ensure regulatory capital headroom against FCA thresholds.
• Build relationships with cross-functional teams.
