Job summary

Outpost is seeking a Risk Manager to build the risk function from the ground up. You will own end-to-end risk across payments, tax, financial crime and operations, translating complex regulations into practical, scalable controls while working with the CEO, engineering, product and operations.

You’ll be in the weeds—reviewing launches, debugging gaps with engineers, and balancing speed with safety to enable growth in global markets from day one. London/Amsterdam, 4–5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in risk, compliance, or financial crime at a payments company or fintech

Responsibilities

• Own the risk function from scratch across payments, tax, financial crime and operations
• Identify, assess, document and monitor risks; set risk appetite with CEO and founding team
• Embed risk thinking into product launches and market expansions with engineering and product teams
• Design practical controls that protect the business without slowing growth; translate regulatory requirements into action
