Job summary

Vitae Financial Recruitment Ltd. has an opportunity for a Payroll Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Royston, Hertfordshire. The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office, supporting the UK payroll month-end, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

You will work in a small payroll team, handle queries, reconcile outputs, and assist with year-end processes. Experience in UK payroll legislation and Dayforce is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a payroll role.
• Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
• Experience with Dayforce or a similar payroll system would be an advantage.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Keen to improve processes and work more efficiently.
• A team player who is adaptable and happy to help where needed.

Responsibilities

• Processing the monthly UK payroll from start to finish.
• Answering payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Validating and reconciling payroll output.
• Producing costing files and month-end reports for the Finance team.
• Reconciling month-end payments to HMRC and the pension provider.
• Supporting year-end processes.
• Helping to create and review payroll policies and procedures.
