Vitae Financial Recruitment Limited is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Royston, Hertfordshire. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office, and a salary of GBP30,000 - GBP32,000 plus benefits.

You will run the monthly UK payroll as part of a close-knit team, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Key duties include processing payroll end-to-end, answering queries, reconciling outputs, and supporting year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a payroll role
• Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation
• Experience with Dayforce or a similar payroll system would be an advantage
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Keen to improve processes and work more efficiently
• A team player who is adaptable and happy to help where needed

Responsibilities

• Processing the monthly UK payroll from start to finish
• Answering payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
• Validating and reconciling payroll output
• Producing costing files and month-end reports for the Finance team
• Reconciling month-end payments to HMRC and the pension provider
• Supporting year-end processes
• Helping to create and review payroll policies and procedures
