Job summary

NFP, part of the Aon group, is hiring a Payroll Advisor to support UK payroll processing within a fast-paced, acquisitive organisation. The role reports to the Payroll Manager and sits in the HR team, focusing on data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely payroll delivery.

The successful candidate will manage monthly UK payrolls, handle changes, run reconciliations, and contribute to pension administration in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with pension schemes and auto enrolment regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of HMRC RTI and payroll legislation.
• Knowledge of employment law and its impact on payroll.
• Strong numerical skills to collate and interpret data.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a payroll function.
• Experience of processing UK payroll data and understanding payroll legislation.
• Experience with payroll systems and Excel.
• Experience working with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely processing of UK monthly payrolls.
• Input and maintain payroll data for starters, leavers, changes and absences.
• Act as point of contact for payroll queries with confidentiality.
• Ensure payroll documentation is accurate and correctly processed.
• Process payroll changes and reconcile data prior to review and submission.
• Support payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly payroll reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll payments and reports for monthly reviews.
• Liaise with Finance on payroll information and reporting.
• Work with HR and business leaders across the org.
• Support pension administration with starters, leavers and changes.
• Assist with pension assessments and contributions.
• Maintain payroll records per policy and statutory requirements.
