Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is hiring a Payroll Advisor on an 18-Month FTC to support UK payroll operations. You’ll work with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate, timely processing and a positive employee experience.

The role requires 2–3 years in payroll, pension and auto-enrolment knowledge, HMRC RTI expertise, and proficiency with payroll systems and Excel.

You’ll collaborate with HR and Finance to maintain payroll records and respond to queries, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience with pension schemes and auto enrolment regulations.
• In depth knowledge of HMRC payroll legislation including RTI.
• Basic knowledge of employment law and its payroll impact.
• Strong numerical skills to collate and interpret data.
• 2–3 years of payroll experience.
• Experience processing UK payroll data and understanding payroll legislation.
• Experience with payroll systems and Excel.
• Experience working with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Process UK monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Maintain payroll data for starters, leavers, changes and absences.
• Respond to payroll queries with confidentiality.
• Ensure payroll documentation is correct.
• Reconcile payroll changes and prepare reports.
• Support payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly payroll reporting.
• Support pension administration and contributions.
• Coordinate with Finance on payroll reporting.
• Work with HR and business leaders.
• Maintain payroll records per policy and statutory rules.
