Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited's UK IT Finance Internship offers hands-on experience in Accounting and Controlling for the global SE IT team. You'll support month-end activities, accruals, provisions, SAP reconciliations and audit support while learning process improvements and digitalisation.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a degree in Accounting & Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Management or Business Administration
• Willing to relocate to the Bournemouth area and work from the Bournemouth office at least two days a week
• Be part of an international team and develop your career in IT Finance and Controlling

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting of the global SE IT on a monthly basis to tight deadlines
• Preparing journals for SE legal entities
• Supporting the SE IT accounting technical update by preparing PowerPoint and organising the meeting for the community
• Performing, evidencing and documenting internal controls
• Supporting the preparation of management reports
• Reconciliations of SAP and vendor consumption data and loading it to our central database
• Ad hoc reporting
• Maintain and add to task list of the role to ensure processes are documented and to ensure smooth handover
• Department process documentation
• To utilise digital tool and AI to help drive efficiency, productivity and cost reduction
• To simplify processes where it makes sense

Job description

As a UK IT Finance Intern you will be joining a team that is responsible for all Accounting and Controlling aspects for the global SE (Siemens Energy) IT team. You will have a key role in month end activities including, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, vendor consumption files and audit support. You will be involved in driving process improvements and digitalisation. This year long placement will cover multiple financial aspects as well as providing you the ability to learn and improve skills to further your learning and career development. The team are currently located near Bournemouth, therefore you will need to live or be willing to relocate to the Bournemouth area to fulfil the requirements of this role. You will be expected to work from the Bournemouth office every Tuesday & Wednesday as a minimum.
