Job summary

Consulting Engineers Group UK Ltd seeks a strategic Business Development leader to grow the UK client base in infrastructure. You will shape market strategy, identify opportunities, and lead bidding and proposals with cross-border input.

You will drive commercial approaches under NEC and FIDIC contracts, build partnerships, and strengthen client relationships through industry events and targeted collaborations to expand the firm’s UK footprint.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• MBA or equivalent commercial qualification.
• 10 years' UK infrastructure experience.
• Experience in development, bidding or commercial roles.
• Chartered status (CEng, ICE or CIHT) preferred.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic business development plan for UK infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities from public sector, Tier 1/2 contractors and consultancies.
• Lead EOIs, bids and proposals with input from UK and India teams.
• Shape pricing and contract terms under NEC and FIDIC.
• Build JV partnerships and manage client relationships.
• Attend client meetings and industry events to grow the pipeline.
• Support UK operations growth and capacity-building.
