Consulting Engineers Group Ltd (CEG) is seeking a Manager for Business Development to drive growth in the UK infrastructure market. The role blends technical credibility with commercial judgement to win consultancy assignments across highways, rail, water, and urban projects.

The candidate will hold a civil engineering degree, have about 10 years in UK infrastructure, and at least 5 years in BD or bidding. You will build relationships with clients, lead EOIs and bids, and help shape CEG's UK

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the UK infrastructure sector.
• At least 5 years in Business Development, Bidding or Commercial roles.
• Proven track record of winning infrastructure consultancy projects.
• Good understanding of UK public procurement and NEC contracts.
• Established network across UK infrastructure clients.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

We have presence in over 32 countries. We are expanding our presence in UK. To spearhead the growth plan, we are looking for energetic Manager for Business Development.

Purpose of the role

To build CEG’s UK client base and pipeline, combining technical credibility with commercial judgement to win consultancy work in the UK’s infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business growth and develop strategic business plans for the UK market.
• Identify new clients, business opportunities and target sectors.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of infrastructure consultancy projects.
• Lead preparation and submission of EOIs, bids and proposals.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors, JV partners and consultants.
• Support commercial negotiations, pricing and contract awards.
• Represent CEG at client meetings and industry events.
• Support the expansion and growth of CEG's UK operations.

Candidate Profile

Desirable

MBA/commercial qualification, Civil Engineering/ICE/CIHT membership, FIDIC experience and exposure to highways or rail projects.
