Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics, part of JD.com, seeks an experienced Customs Manager to oversee UK import clearance for cross-border shipments. You will coordinate with brokers, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely clearance and accurate documentation.

The role includes building a small team (1–2), driving process standardisation, monitoring KPIs, and staying up to date with UK policy changes. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in customs or cross-border logistics are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in customs, customs clearance, international logistics, or cross-border supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in UK import customs clearance and port clearance is highly preferred.
• Experience in cross-border e-commerce, retail import, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversee UK import customs clearance for cross-border shipments.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, clearance agents, freight forwarders, and carriers.
• Manage day-to-day declaration review, duty/tax coordination, and compliance.
• Monitor lead times, inspection status, and cost implications for clearances.
• Develop and manage a small team (1–2 people) and align internal stakeholders.
