Job summary

Meritus is seeking an Immigration Specialist to join our client in Filton on a long-term contract. The role is hybrid with 60% onsite attendance and requires BPSS clearance before starting. 35-hour week across 4.5 days, with travel as needed.

You will guide UK immigration matters, support employees and stakeholders, and coordinate visa applications and sponsorship activities. Strong knowledge of UK immigration, compliance, and right-to-work, plus experience with external immigration providers

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in UK immigration law and compliance.
• Experience advising employees and stakeholders on immigration matters.
• Knowledge of visas, sponsorship, and right-to-work requirements.
• Experience coordinating with external immigration providers and government bodies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Diploma or certification in UK immigration is highly desirable.
• Degree in Labour Law would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on UK immigration matters and ensure compliance with immigration legislation.
• Act as a key point of contact for immigration-related queries with employees, candidates and stakeholders.
• Coordinate visa applications, sponsorship activities and right-to-work processes.
• Manage immigration compliance requirements and oversee visa renewals.
• Liaise with external providers and government bodies to support immigration cases.
