Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Local Immigration Expert for an initial 12-month contract based in Filton. The role focuses on advising on UK immigration requirements for international mobility, ensuring compliance with UK laws and Home Office obligations.

The position is a Monday to Friday, 35-hour week contract with an Umbrella rate of £46.82 per hour. Suitable candidates will guide HR and business leaders on visa processes and sponsor/licensing matters.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certification or strong experience in UK immigration mandatory.
• Diploma in labour law would be a plus.
• Experience working with external bodies/organisations would be a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiation and managing operational tasks to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage interface with External Immigration Consultants currently in charge of immigration administration of moves to the UK to ensure initial and continuing right to work for employees.
• Collect and provide data needed by the provider to manage visa requests according to country and activity.
• Manage A1 certificate requests and Health Insurance certificates if applicable.
• Collect company information and documents (KBIS, etc.) and share with provider.
• Ensure global tracking of employees' visa expiry dates.
• Provide a one-stop shop for Airbus internal purposes: advice, guidance, support to applications and coordination of awareness sessions on immigration rules.

Job description

On behalf of our client, we are looking to appoint a Local Immigration Expert for an initial 12-month contract. As the Local Immigration Expert, you will provide expert guidance and support to the business and its employees on UK immigration requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations relating to business travel, short-term assignments and external recruitment. Acting as a key point of contact for immigration matters, you will help the business navigate complex immigration processes while facilitating international mobility and delivering a positive employee experience.

Pay: £46.82 per hour via Umbrella rate

Location: Filton

Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 Hours a week, 12-month contract

Responsibilities

• Manage interface with External Immigration Consultants currently in charge of immigration administration of moves to the UK in order to ensure the initial and continuing right to work of employees going on "short international move" therefore ensuring Airbus compliance with EU and national laws.
• Collect & provide all the necessary data needed by the provider to manage the administrative visa requests according to country combination and activity performed from the business / HRBPs (job description, salary info, home and host entity details etc
• Manage A1 certificate requests + Health Insurance certificates if applicable.
• Collect on a regular basis the company information and any other official documents (such as KBIS etc) and share them with the provider.
• Ensure a global tracking of employees' visa expiry dates.
• Provide a one-stop shop for Airbus internal purposes (HR Managers, HRBPs, Line Managers, Recruitment Business Partners, Customer Services, Reward Operations, Global Mobility and Security): advice, guidance, support to applications and coordination organisation of awareness sessions on immigration rules consolidation of knowledge with transnational HR (GM, SPIR international) contribution to the collaborative network of local Immigration Experts legal monitoring
• Manage the immigration steps in the End-To-End External Recruitment process of non-UK/non-Irish nationals (actions performed in and outside the HR tool): Contact the selected candidate Check their immigration title If applicable, initiate the immigration provider and follow up the case Once issued, review the immigration documents and confirm in the HR tool
• Manage the employees' visa renewals and change of employment applications.
• Ensure our sponsor licence responsibilities with the Home Office are met.
• Handle external provider financial management.
• Contribute to national and transnational key projects.

Essential requirements

• Diploma/Certification or strong experience in UK immigration mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in negotiation and managing operational tasks to a high standard.
