Job summary

Caterpillar UK seeks a Government Affairs Advisor to act as the bridge between Caterpillar and UK government bodies, regulators and industry groups. You will monitor policy developments, identify risks and opportunities, and translate insights for senior leaders.

You will build long-term relationships with authorities, shape policy positions, and prepare executive-level materials to support a credible advocacy program across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong public policy and legislative background with experience engaging external stakeholders.
• Experience in UK government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs or corporate affairs.
• Knowledge of UK political institutions, parliamentary processes and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage trusted relationships with government and regional authorities, industry bodies, business and trade associations.
• Shape and execute Caterpillar's UK government affairs strategy to support objectives, dealers and customers.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate impacts into actionable insights for senior leaders.
