Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Data Protection Rights Officer to manage subject access requests under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. You will handle a high-volume caseload, apply exemptions, and perform redactions to ensure accurate disclosures.

You will liaise with FCA business areas to obtain information, provide practical guidance, and ensure timely responses while maintaining SC clearance requirements. Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Data Protection Rights requests under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Ability to apply legislation, ICO guidance and organisational policies to make defensible decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a high-volume workload.
• Experience reviewing large volumes of information for accurate disclosures and redaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle Subject Access Requests and other information rights requests in line with UK GDPR and FCA policies.
• Manage a caseload effectively and meet statutory deadlines.
• Review, assess and prepare information for disclosure.
• Identify relevant records, apply exemptions and carry out redactions.
• Liaise with business areas across the FCA to obtain information and guidance.
