Job summary

Egis is recruiting a Fleet Operations Manager to lead the UK fleet and transport operations. The role focuses on safety, compliance and performance, ensuring vehicles, drivers and transport activities meet UK law and company standards.

You will manage budgets, procurement, maintenance and digital fleet solutions across multiple locations, while driving continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration within the UK fleet network.

Qualifications

Proven track record in fleet operations management.
Strong knowledge of Operator Licence compliance and DVSA guidance.
Experience managing HGV/LCV fleets and transport suppliers.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all UK fleet and transport operations.
Ensure compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations and Traffic Commissioner guidance.
Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, MOTs, roadworthiness and defect management.
Manage fleet performance, utilisation, budgets and operational efficiency.
Lead vehicle procurement, replacement programmes and fleet specifications.
Implement telematics and digital fleet solutions to improve safety and performance.
Monitor Drivers' Hours, tachograph compliance, Driver CPC and licence checks.
Manage Transport Managers, suppliers and maintenance providers.
Produce fleet performance reports and support audits and regulatory inspections.
Drive continuous improvement across fleet operations.
