Job summary

The Cambridge or Croydon-based Finance Graduate role at Mott MacDonald offers exposure to management accounting, financial accounts and project accounting within a global, employee-owned consultancy. You will gain three years of hands-on experience across budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and liquidity work, supported by a mentor and a structured development programme.

The intake targets graduates with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Maths or Science and with minimal relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Eligible with <12 months> experience and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Maths or Science (awarded no earlier than 2025).
• Qualified AAT or studying ACCA/CIMA, numerate person to start accountancy career.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Methodical problem solving and initiative to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support central finance team with management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist financial accounts with controls, KPI analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work on project accounts including working capital control and forecasting.
• Potential rotation into Credit Management or Treasury activities.
