Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd, a growing engineering business, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive UK-wide sales of conveyor and automation solutions. This hybrid role combines office-based work, home working, and customer site visits across the UK.

You will own the full sales cycle from initial contact through to project award, build long‑term client relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver turnkey materials handling and automation projects for diverse industrial

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in business development or sales leadership.
• Experience selling complete conveyor/automation projects or materials handling solutions.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new UK opportunities.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to contract award.
• Attend customer meetings and site surveys.
• Prepare commercial proposals and quotations.
• Maintain sales pipeline and hit revenue targets.
