UK ETF & Indexing Sales Leader

Job summary

HSBC Asset Management is seeking a Head of UK ETF and Indexing Sales to define and execute the UK strategy for ETF and indexing ranges. You will set client priorities, identify opportunities, and manage execution from identification to sale, while building relationships with UK buyers and regulators alike.

You will lead a team, coordinate with UK AM sales and Global Relationship Bankers, and guide marketing and governance activities to ensure strong growth and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Proven UK asset management distribution experience with ETFs/index funds
• Strong network across UK wealth, DFM/MPS, platform and institutional buyers
• Experience building and executing a UK distribution strategy and business plan
• Clear written and verbal communication to clients and senior management
• Solid understanding of ETF trading, market structure, liquidity and execution
• Knowledge of index construction and tracking methodology
• People management experience building high-performing teams

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the UK strategy for HSBC AM ETF and Indexing ranges aligned to global direction
• Set client segment and channel priorities including the annual business plan and revenue targets
• Identify UK sales opportunities across ETFs and index funds and manage execution through to sale
• Develop deep UK client relationships across segments to enhance the franchise
• Partner with UK AM sales teams and HSBC Global Relationship Bankers to cultivate opportunities
• Oversee marketing activity for the ETF and Indexing range, shaping sales materials
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate records of client activity and contracts
• Represent the business in UK client fund selection processes and committees to secure ratings and buy-list inclusion
