Job summary

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in the UK is seeking a Local Driving Test Centre Manager (LDTM) to lead driving test operations within a sector, ensuring integrity of the driving test and delivering efficient services across various locations.

You will line manage up to 14 examiners, drive performance improvements, analyse data to inform decisions, and maintain high standards of customer service and safety, with London weighting if based near London, and a Civil Service Pension with

Qualifications

Experience of successfully leading and managing teams.
Experience of handling and resolving customer complaints in line with procedures and standards.
Experience of analysing and interpreting data/information to make sound decisions and improve individual and team performance.

Responsibilities

Setting clear performance expectations, monitoring delivery, and providing feedback to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
Monitoring and managing performance of examiners to ensure correct assessment, controlling and conducting of tests, using appropriate metrics, monitoring tools, management information and processes.
Ensuring that the Performance Management System is implemented uniformly and effectively and fairly.
Guiding and influencing the behaviour of examiners to support organisational and individuals’ development goals.
Working collaboratively with other areas of the business to deliver desired outcomes.
