Job summary

Capital is a leading trading platform seeking a Head of Risk UK (Crypto) to build and lead the independent second line risk function for our UK digital assets business. This dual-hat role also deputises the Group Head of Risk (Digital Assets) and shapes the Group’s risk framework as we scale.

You will oversee risk governance, prudential and market risks, stress testing, outsourcing risk, custody and on-chain settlement, and regulatory alignment with the FCA.

Qualifications

• Crypto assets and digital assets experience is required.
• Deep experience in financial and prudential risk (credit, liquidity, capital, market, concentration, cost).
• Brokerage or trading platform experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK risk strategy; set local risk appetite aligned with Group.
• Own Group financial and prudential risk framework, ICARA processes, capital and wind-down planning.
• Design and lead stress testing for crypto shocks and liquidity events.
• Set risk limits for liquidity providers, exchanges, custodians, and banking partners.
• Oversee custody, key management, on-chain settlement risk, and protection of client assets.
• Oversee UK RCSA cycle, incidents, controls testing, and KRIs.
