Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented, and strategic Commercial Leader to join our UK leadership team. This key role focuses on enhancing B2B sales performance, pipeline development, and leading our commercial operations to achieve sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background and proven success in commercial and sales leadership within a B2B environment.

This role will oversee a commercial team of approximately 15, including Key Account Management (KAM), New Product Development (NPD), and Internal Sales. The successful candidate will align commercial strategies with operational capabilities to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with company goals and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional commercial teams, including:

- Sales teams to generate and convert pipelines and deliver profitable growth.

- Key Account Managers to strengthen strategic partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction.

- New Product Development teams to align innovation with market demand and commercial objectives.

- Internal Sales teams to improve responsiveness, customer service, and sales effectiveness.

  • Cultivate a proactive, growth-focused team culture with a 'hunting' mindset to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage key customer accounts and foster long-term, high-value relationships.
  • Identify and respond to market trends, competitor activities, and untapped opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align commercial activities with capacity and financial goals.
  • Lead pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and margin management.
  • Support innovation and product development based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Represent the company externally at senior levels, including customer engagements, industry forums, and trade associations.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in senior commercial or sales leadership within a B2B industrial or manufacturing setting; experience in glass manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing commercial teams across sales, product development, and customer engagement.
  • Strong experience in pipeline development, sales conversion, and revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen, with understanding of product lifecycle, pricing, and customer profitability.
  • Results-oriented leader with strategic vision and operational awareness.
  • Experience in mid-sized to large organizations, with knowledge of matrix environments and cross-functional collaboration.
