Job summary

Clifton Search represents a highly acquisitive global organisation seeking a UK-based Senior Sole Counsel to lead legal affairs for a newly acquired division. The role reports to the international CEO and requires substantial hands-on leadership across a multi-layered business with global operations.

You will work with colleagues and customers worldwide in a borderless capacity, handling international contracts, software licensing and data protection matters in a dynamic software/telecoms

Qualifications

• UK qualified solicitor with senior/lead experience in the software/tech sector.
• International experience in cross-border contracts and regulatory matters.
• Hands-on, autonomous leader capable of advising on complex deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a wide range of commercial contracts for the newly acquired business.
• Provide and negotiate high-value contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advise on software licensing agreements including SaaS, IaaS and PaaS.
• Oversee data protection and privacy/regulatory compliance within the group.
• Drive IP portfolio management and AI/ML regulatory strategy.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including the CEO and clients.
