Job summary

SharkNinja seeks a UX Design System Lead to own and evolve its UI design system across DTC and ecommerce. You will lead design tokens, component libraries and documentation, working with design, engineering and product teams to deliver scalable, accessible UI.

You will empower designers and engineers with a single source of truth, enabling faster delivery and consistent experiences across SharkNinja’s digital properties, in Leeds or London with a hybrid in-office pattern.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX or Product Design, with at least 3 years focused on building, maintaining or scaling design systems.
• Experience building and scaling a design system in a product-led organisation supporting multiple products, teams or markets.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, with deep knowledge of variables, components and design tokens.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to design for scale, consistency and reuse.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve SharkNinja's UI design system, ensuring it is scalable, well-documented and adopted consistently across DTC digital properties.
• Define and maintain design tokens, component libraries, patterns and guidelines that enable teams to build with speed and consistency.
• Continuously audit and improve the design system based on product needs, accessibility standards and emerging best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure design system components are implemented in code and easy to maintain.
• Develop documentation, guidelines and training resources that enable teams to contribute to the system.
