Job summary

Star Soccer Academy is seeking a UEFA B coach to lead the U13s, running Monday sessions and taking charge on Saturdays in the Midlands. You will implement the academy curriculum, coach on match days, and assess players through the season.

The role requires UEFA B, DBS and safeguarding qualifications, own transport, and experience with youth development. A video analysis background (VEO) is desirable; a competitive national league program awaits.

Qualifications

• Essential UEFA B licence, in-date DBS, FA Safeguarding Children in date, FA Emergency First Aid in Football or equivalent.
• Own transport required as JPL fixtures involve travel across the Midlands.
• Desirable experience coaching 11v11 in youth development (U12–U16).
• Desirable familiarity with JPL/MJPL or academy-standard football.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the Monday U13s session, 7:00–8:30pm, following the academy curriculum.
• Lead the squad at Saturday JPL fixtures across the Midlands region — selection, team talk, coaching, post-match review.
• Write player reviews through the season using the traffic-light system with a second coach countersigning.
• Run and assess trials for the squad.
• Collaborate with U12s and U14s coaches so players can move between squads.

Job description

Our U13s play in the JPL, the largest national youth football league in England, in its Midlands region — and we are the only club in Leicestershire playing exclusively in the MJPL and JPL.

We are looking for a UEFA B coach to take the U13s as lead: run the Monday session at Bosworth Academy on 3G, and be on the touchline on Saturday. The person who coaches them on Monday is the person who leads them on Saturday.

What the role involves

• Plan and lead the Monday U13s session, 7:00–8:30pm, working to the academy curriculum
• Lead the squad at Saturday JPL fixtures across the Midlands region — selection, team talk, in-game coaching, post-match review
• Write player reviews through the season using our traffic-light review system, with a second coach countersigning
• Run and assess trials for the squad
• Work with the coaches of the U12s and U14s so players can move between squads

Hours

• 1½ hours training a week, plus Saturday JPL fixtures
• Monday evenings (7:00–8:30pm) and Saturdays

Essential

• UEFA B licence
