Job summary

Crewe Alexandra FC is seeking a Lead Youth Development Phase Coach to lead the academy coaching programme for the U13 to U16 age groups. You will take overall responsibility for planning, delivering and reviewing the Youth Development Phase in line with the academy’s philosophy.

You will coach three evenings a week and lead age groups in weekend games, including the U16s on Saturday and another age group on Sunday, while using Kitman Labs for plans and reviews and ensuring EPPP compliance.

Qualifications

• UEFA A Licence and FA Advanced Youth Award are required.
• Enhanced DBS, FA Safeguarding, first aid for sport (EFAiF) are mandatory.
• Flexible working week including evenings and weekends.
• Driving licence and access to a car are required.
• Desirable: experience with U13-U16 players and knowledge of EPPP and Kitman Labs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the academy coaches within the phase.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training sessions, recording plans and reviews on Kitman Labs.
• Provide individual coaching, feedback and learning plans, with performance reviews in line with EPPP.
• Lead player and parent review meetings.
• Help make player progression, retention and scholarship decisions.
• Use video and performance data with the academy analysts.
• Build relationships with local schools, grassroots clubs and coaches.
