Job Title: Halfords Mobile Expert Team Leader

A Halfords Mobile Expert Team Leader is a critical support role for colleagues and customers. With experience as a Technician, this position offers an opportunity to advance your career by supporting a team in delivering excellent service to customers.

Our Mobile Expert teams prepare their vans at the Hub for daily routes, then visit customers' homes and workplaces to deliver services. Your role involves managing the team to ensure high standards, providing technical guidance, handling tyre deliveries, and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, especially during late shifts.

The shift pattern is either 6am-6pm or 8am-8pm on a two-week rota.

Success in this role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to motivate a team, and the capability to manage the Hub in the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager. The role includes customer interaction, technical tasks, team training, and safety oversight, including vehicle repairs and compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential skills and experience include:

1. Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
2. Experience as a Technician, completing jobs to standard and within timeframes
3. Experience in coaching and on-the-spot training
4. Track record of achieving targets and customer metrics
5. Knowledge of health and safety compliance
6. IT proficiency and aptitude for learning in-house systems
7. Valid driving license for at least 12 months

All tools, equipment, and uniform are provided. Vans and tools are supplied for shifts and stored at the Hub when not in use.
