Job summary

Webrecruit is recruiting for a Centre Technician (tyre fitter) in Burton upon Trent. The role focuses on fitting tyres, batteries, exhausts etc in a busy automotive retail environment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to manage own workload, and a strong communicator. You will join a small team but also work independently, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy retail automotive settings.
• Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Fit tyres and perform fast-fit maintenance on vehicles.
• Increase sales of products and services per procedures.
• Keep Centre and equipment clean.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Follow reasonable management instructions.
• Maintain clean uniform and presentable appearance.
• Be available for work as required.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to fit tyres, batteries, exhausts etc in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• To fit Tyres & carry out fast fit maintenance to customer vehicles
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To adhere to the Company’s Policy & Procedures
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
