Job summary

Webrecruit in the United Kingdom is seeking a Centre Technician to join our automotive retail team. You will fit tyres, batteries, exhausts and carry out fast-fit maintenance to customer vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will work as part of a small Centre team, with opportunities to develop skills through training and a clear progression path. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to manage your own workload in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy retail automotive environment is preferred.
• Able to manage a varied workload with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills important in a Centre setting.

Responsibilities

• To fit tyres and carry out fast-fit maintenance on customer vehicles.
• To increase sales of products and services in line with procedures.
• To maintain cleanliness of the Centre and equipment.
• To adhere to Company policies and procedures and follow management instructions.
• To ensure uniform is clean and presentable at all times.
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to fit tyres, batteries, exhausts etc in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• To fit Tyres & carry out fast fit maintenance to customer vehicles
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To adhere to the Company’s Policy & Procedures
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
