Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking a flexible automotive technician in the Lichfield area. The role focuses on fitting tyres, batteries and exhausts in a busy centre, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will work both independently and as part of a small team, delivering high standards and helping to grow sales through excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will join a reputable retailer offering good benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to tasks and able to manage own workload.
• Experience in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.
• Main objective is to fit tyres, batteries, exhausts safely and efficiently.
• Able to work both in a small team and independently.

Responsibilities

• To fit Tyres & carry out fast fit maintenance to customer vehicles
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To adhere to the Company’s Policy & Procedures
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company
• There are training opportunities to further your career within the Company
• The role reports directly to the Centre Manager

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to fit tyres, batteries, exhausts etc in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.
