Job summary

A respected childcare organization is seeking a Registered Children’s Home Manager to oversee two residential homes in Birmingham and Leicester. This role demands passion for improving the lives of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, adherence to compliance, and experience in residential childcare. Competitive salary of £60,000 – £65,000 per year offered, with a focus on staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior or deputy role within a children’s residential home.
• Strong background in supporting children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding law, Ofsted standards, and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of two children’s homes.
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and support staff teams.
• Design and oversee individualised care plans.
• Promote safeguarding practices.
