Job Title: Twisting Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Twisting Operative to join our busy Yarn Manufacturing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full time, permanent post working an average of 38 hours a week over a three-shift rotation (early, back and night shifts).
Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour, plus shift pay allowance.
As a Twisting Operative here at Johnstons of Elgin, you will be responsible for operating pre-twist and up-twist machinery to produce high-quality 2-ply and 3-ply yarns for weaving and knitting applications.
As part of your responsibilities, you will provide holiday cover for the Quality Laboratory within Yarn Manufacturing department, assisting with quality testing when required. Full training will be provided.
You will be working within a manufacturing environment, you will ensure production targets and quality standards are met while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.

Previous experience in a textile manufacturing, production, or machine operative role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
