Johnstons of Elgin is seeking an Accessory Knitting Supervisor to oversee operations at the Hawick knitting mill, prioritising workloads and ensuring production schedules are met.

You will lead a team, focus on quality, and collaborate with the Accessories Knitting Manager to drive efficiency and high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Quality-driven with high attention to detail.
• Supervisory or manufacturing experience, preferably knitting.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
• Able to supervise and work within a team.
• Computer literate; knowledge of manufacturing systems advantageous.

Accessory Knitting Supervisor

Location: Hawick Mill

Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week, Dayshift.

Salary: Hourly rate begins at £14.63, with additional consideration given for candidates with extensive or specialised experience.

About the Role

Based in our Hawick knitting mill, you will:

• be able to prioritise workloads and problem solve issues efficiently working to meet targets and fulfil production schedules
• deal with issues quickly and efficiently using clear communication and flexibility to adapt to production requirements while working as part of a larger team reporting directly to the Accessories Knitting Manager
• be responsible for championing the highest quality throughout the team with a good eye for detail

About you

You will:

• be quality driven demonstrating high attention to detail
• have previous supervisory experience or manufacturing experience, preferably in a knitting environment
• be self motivated with strong organisational skills
• have the ability to supervise and work within a team
• be computer literate, with prior knowledge of manufacturing systems being advantageous
