Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join our West Kent Urgent Care Service as a Twilight Nurse, providing a rapid two-hour crisis response to help patients stay safe at home and avoid hospital admissions.

Working across a 24/7 service, you will perform IV therapy, syringe driver management, catheterisation, phlebotomy, wound care and clinical assessment, coordinating care with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 6 degree or equivalent plus a nursing diploma.
• Recent healthcare experience, including community or acute settings.
• Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
• Full UK driving licence or EU country driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient-centred care to adults in the community setting.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care plans.
• Coordinate care with patients, families and other professionals.
• Deliver clinical interventions such as IV therapy, catheterisation, wound care and phlebotomy.
• Manage a daily caseload, assist in triage and support junior staff and students.

Education

Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification (plus nursing diploma)

Recent healthcare experience

NMC registration

Full UK driving licence (or EU equivalent)
