Job summary

Barnsley College seeks an experienced Tutorial Team Leader to cover a maternity period, leading Personal Tutors and Tutorial Learning Mentors in the Land Based Industries department. The role focuses on pastoral support, attendance monitoring, and delivering high-quality tutorial processes.

You will have strong leadership and communication skills, experience with young people in education, and a passion for helping learners overcome barriers and achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above)
• Level 6 Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
• Experience of leading a team
• Experience of working with young people in an educational setting
• Experience of delivering and co- ordinating tutorial or pastoral care in an educational setting
• Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders in an educational setting

Responsibilities

• Lead and support our team of Personal Tutors and Tutorial Learning Mentors within the Land Based Industries department.
• Drive student success through effective pastoral support and attendance monitoring.
• Coordinate learner interventions and delivery of high-quality tutorial processes.
