TUTOR of ENGLISH as an ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE

PART TIME: 0.4FTE

From January 2026, or before

We wish to appoint a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, autonomous tutor to teach EAL to our Y7 - Y13 overseas boarders, many of whom are from Hong Kong or the PRC. Reporting to the Head of EAL, the successful applicant will have a current TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualification and will enjoy working with and encouraging young people, all of whom are hard working and willing to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Teach English as an Additional Language (EAL) to Y7–Y13 overseas boarders.
  • Work under the supervision of the Head of EAL and collaborate with colleagues to support learners’ progress.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment and encourage hard work and a willing attitude to learn.
Hours and location
  • Teaching hours currently take place on Mondays and Fridays, as well as on Saturday mornings, during term time only.
  • Part-time role: 0.4FTE.
Accommodation, remuneration and benefits
  • Accommodation and additional remuneration may be available for a successful candidate who wishes to become involved with our boarding provision.
