Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting a Tutor to work in Lincoln. The role is a contract, with flexible hours and a pay rate of £26.62 per hour. Expect 1:1 tutoring in home or residential settings, with school hours applying when relevant.

DBS check is required or to be obtained, and knowledge of SEN/SEMH supports learners with diverse needs. You will deliver personalised learning strategies and help students re-engage with education, tailoring approaches for key stage 1 through further education as

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• QTS / QTLS / PGCE or Subject Specialism with tutoring experience in English, Maths and/or Science.
• Minimum 1 year teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience with SEN/SEMH students and familiarity with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tutoring in a home or residential setting, adapting to individual needs.
• Develop personalised learning strategies for students outside mainstream education.
• Support re-engagement in education and track progress with tailored plans.

Job Requirements of a Tutor:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one

• Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
• A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
• Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)

Role Responsibilities of a Tutor:

• Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited

• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
• Supporting a young person s re-engagement in education
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
