Overview

TeacherActive are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout Derby. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for KS1-KS4 Maths and English Tutors/TA’s with experience of working with challenging young people to provide 1:1 support to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Responsibilities

• Provide KS1-KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis.
• Assess the student’s current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found.
• Support students who have diagnoses such as Autism or ADHD, focusing on core subjects at a lower level as required.
• Work with students either in a local library or at the young person’s home.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience of working with challenging young people.
• Strong understanding of SEN and a good level of Maths and English.
