Jackson Hogg Ltd. seeks a skilled Controls & Automation Proposals Engineer to join our Sheffield team. You will develop high-quality proposals for PLC and SCADA projects, manage cost estimates, and work closely with sales and clients to define technical solutions.

The role blends engineering knowledge with commercial insight and strong communication. The ideal candidate has experience in systems integration or automation, excellent technical writing ability, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in automation or process control.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation.
• Experience in proposals, estimating, or pre-sales.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Produce detailed technical proposals and tenders for PLC & SCADA systems, control upgrades, MIS/MES, services and turnkey projects.
• Collaborate with sales teams and customers to understand requirements and define technical solutions.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and manage quotation cost spreadsheets.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams for pricing and delivery timelines.
• Ensure proposals are compliant, accurate, and well-presented.
• Support project approvals with senior stakeholders and maintain customer relationships.
