Job summary

Ripon Group is expanding its Professional Turf division in the UK and is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager - Turf to drive growth across a large turf equipment sales territory. You will manage relationships with golf courses, councils, utilities and landscapers, promoting John Deere turf machinery and related brands while meeting ambitious sales targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment sales in turf or ground-care sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness with proven targets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customers.
• Ability to demonstrate or learn turf machinery and professional ground-care solutions.
• Self-motivated and autonomous within a defined territory.
• Experience with CRM systems and managing sales processes.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial turf customers across the territory.
• Promote and sell turf and ground care machinery (John Deere and partners).
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities via lead generation and networking.
• Conduct product demonstrations and site visits to assess customer needs.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and finance packages.
• Collaborate with service and parts to ensure aftersales support.
• Maintain sales records and forecasts in the CRM.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events.
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments to drive growth.
• Achieve sales targets and grow the Turf Division.
