Job summary

Swissport International AG is seeking an Operations Manager – TUI for a 12 month fixed term contract based on-site at Birmingham International Airport. You will lead day-to-day delivery of the TUI product, reporting to the Head of Airside, with accountability for safety, profitability and service quality in line with corporate strategy.

You will drive safety initiatives, manage performance, coach teams and develop talent, ensuring efficient resource planning and strong stakeholder relationships

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience managing large teams.
• Strong business acumen with KPIs and financial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure HSE compliance, lead safety initiatives, and maintain emergency plans.
• Financial Performance: Manage P&L, control costs, and optimize revenue-to-labour targets.
• Leadership: Coach and develop teams, drive employee engagement, and support talent growth.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee resource planning, KPI monitoring, and service delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with internal teams, clients, unions, and regulators.
