Job summary

RNLI is seeking a Trusts and Grants Manager to lead a portfolio of Trusts, primarily across Wales, the West of the UK and Ireland, building lasting donor relationships and delivering our fundraising targets.

You will craft compelling grant applications, manage budgets, and collaborate with project teams to align RNLI initiatives with funder objectives. The role combines strategic outreach with meticulous reporting in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Trust fundraising or similar donor development roles.
• Ability to craft compelling grant proposals and impact reports.
• Attention to detail in budgets and timelines.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with Trustees and donors.

Responsibilities

• Provide stewardship to Trusts in your portfolio with standout grant applications and impact reports.
• Develop deep understanding of each Trusts’ needs to build long-term relationships.
• Research and identify new funders and create approaches to open doors.
• Collaborate with RNLI stakeholders to package projects for funders alignment.
• Use RNLI engagement opportunities to keep funders engaged and supportive.
• Coordinate with regional colleagues to align fundraising opportunities and donor management.
• Share knowledge with team and lead on project themes.
• Maintain accurate grant management and reporting according to agreements and policies.
