About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. Twenty-four hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue.

We're looking for a Senior Face-to-Face (F2F) Fundraising Manager to join our growing F2F Fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide regional leadership across one of the charity sector's largest in-house, award-winning fundraising programmes, helping to inspire lasting support for the RNLI and generate sustainable income that powers our lifesaving service.

Leading a team of F2F Fundraising Managers across the UK and Ireland, you'll play a key role in developing high-performing teams, delivering exceptional supporter experiences and embedding the national F2F strategy at a regional level. Working as part of the F2F Senior Management Team, you'll help shape the future of the programme through operational excellence, strong people leadership and continuous improvement.

Your role

As a Senior F2F Fundraising Manager, you'll focus on:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a geographically dispersed team of F2F Fundraising Managers to build high-performing, engaged and successful regional teams.
  • Translating national fundraising strategies, organisational priorities and campaigns into effective regional delivery plans.
  • Driving regional performance against financial and non-financial targets, using insight and data to identify opportunities, manage risks and support reforecasting.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, learning and succession planning to develop future talent across the F2F programme.
  • Managing regional operational budgets and ensuring resources are used effectively to maximise value and impact.
  • Gathering and championing frontline insight to help shape programme strategy, improve processes and enhance supporter experiences.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the RNLI to support donor acquisition and wider organisational objectives.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation and shared learning across the F2F team.
  • Promoting and embedding a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety requirements and operational standards.
About you

You will be an experienced and inspiring leader who is passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery, and be confident working across multiple regions and stakeholders.

You will be a collaborative and approachable leader, able to motivate others, drive performance and create an inclusive culture where people can do their best work. Comfortable working with data and insight, you'll use evidence to inform decisions, improve performance and identify future opportunities.

You’ll be proactive, adaptable and resilient, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to influence and build relationships across the organisation.

To be considered as the Senior F2F Fundraising Manager, you will need:

  • Significant experience leading high-performing F2F fundraising teams within a charity or fundraising agency environment.
  • Proven success managing, coaching and developing managers and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience delivering strong F2F fundraising performance across supporter acquisition, quality, compliance and people development.
  • Strong project and budget management experience, with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience using performance data and operational insight to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland.
Closing date: 18 October 2026.
Interview date: From 29 October 2026.
