Job description

A leading contemporary arts organisation is looking for a skilled and passionate Trusts & Fundraising Manager, to support the development of the portfolio of funding from national and international grant-making institutions. You will take responsibility for creating proposals that generate grant income, in addition to completing associated reporting and evaluation requirements.

This role will collaborate with teams across the organisation in building grant materials, including those delivering exhibitions, digital innovation, environmental programming and community-focused education. Alongside this, you will contribute to processes underpinning effective stewardship and relationship management of charitable trusts and foundations.

Along with a salary of £34,000 - £37,500 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, discounts on products, access to an employee assistance Pope, season ticket travel loans and a cycle2work scheme.

As Trusts & Fundraising Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Head of Trusts, Foundations & Government to deliver the fundraising strategy
  • Preparing applications to trust, foundations and grant-making institutions in line with the agreed strategy.
  • Engaging with teams across the organisation to obtain information and data informing robust fundraising proposals, evaluation reports and project budgets.
  • Identifying and researching opportunities to build active pipelines of trust for prospects for projects.
  • Working with the Development and Patrons Officer to provide effective stewardship and administration of trust prospects and supporters, keeping accurate records using Salesforce.
  • Working with the Finance and CRM teams to ensure grants are managed effectively.
  • Maintaining awareness of trends and developments in trusts and foundations fundraising.
  • Following and assisting in the implementation of all policies.
We’re looking for a Trusts & Fundraising Manager with:
  • Experience of developing funding bids, evaluation reports and project budgets for trusts, foundations or other grant-making bodies, ideally within the cultural sector.
  • Outstanding ability to write compelling and concise grant fundraising materials, drawing upon diverse forms of information and data.
  • An understanding of the trusts and foundations landscape, ideally in the context of the visual arts and/or cultural sector.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience of donor management and stewardship.
You will be working Monday-Friday, with occasional out of hours work required to fulfil the role.
