Job description

A leading contemporary arts organisation is looking for a skilled and passionate Trusts & Fundraising Manager to support the development of funding from national and international grant-making institutions. You will be responsible for creating proposals that generate grant income, as well as completing reporting and evaluation requirements.

This role involves collaborating with various teams across the organisation to build grant materials for exhibitions, digital innovation, environmental programming, and community education. Additionally, you will contribute to processes for effective stewardship and relationship management of charitable trusts and foundations.

Along with a salary of £34,000 - £37,500 per annum, benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, discounts on products, access to an employee assistance scheme, season ticket travel loans, and a cycle2work scheme.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Head of Trusts, Foundations & Government to deliver the fundraising strategy.
2. Prepare applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making institutions in line with the strategy.
3. Engage with teams across the organisation to gather information and data for proposals, reports, and budgets.
4. Identify and research opportunities to build active pipelines of trust prospects for projects.
5. Collaborate with the Development and Patrons Officer for stewardship and administration of trust supporters, maintaining accurate records using Salesforce.
6. Coordinate with Finance and CRM teams to manage grants effectively.
7. Stay informed about trends in trusts and foundations fundraising.
8. Assist in implementing organisational policies.

Requirements:

• Experience in developing funding bids, reports, and budgets for trusts, foundations, or similar grant bodies, preferably within the cultural sector.
• Excellent grant writing skills, capable of producing compelling and concise materials.
• Understanding of the trusts and foundations landscape, especially in the visual arts or cultural sectors.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in donor management and stewardship.

This position is Monday-Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work required.
