Trust Doctor ST3+ in Infectious Diseases/General Internal Medicine
This is a fixed term role 10th February 2025 – 09 February 2026.
An ST3+ registrar is required to work in infectious diseases based on B6 ward in the Louisa Martindale Building. Responsibilities will include being on the wards and in rapid access and general ID clinics. There is no out-of-hours on-call commitment (although for an experienced candidate then there may be potential to do Microbiology on calls dependent on local need). There is an expectation of flexible working between the hours of 08:00-18:00 weekdays, depending on clinical need.
In terms of clinical duties, the doctor will be responsible to the Consultants in Infection and deputise for them as required. Clinical responsibilities will include:

Candidates are expected to actively engage in and present clinical audit and teaching and there are monthly Quality, Safety and Patient Experience governance meetings and bi-monthly pan-department all day meetings. The Trust and Consultants fully support staff developing their academic and research interests.
