Join Barts Health NHS Trust as a Trust Doctor (ST3+ equivalent) in Geriatric Medicine.

Location: Whipps Cross Hospital and Ainslie Rehabilitation Unit

Contract: Fixed Term, 12 months (with a second post available until 30-Sept-2025)

Our OPS (Older People’s Services) team is expanding. We seek a full-time Trust Doctor (ST3+ equivalent) for a 12-month fixed-term post, which includes General Medicine on-call responsibilities if you have the relevant experience and skills.

This role offers opportunities to develop clinical skills with high-level consultant supervision, and potential to gain experience in audit, research, or teaching. We foster a supportive culture and reward contributions generously.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current and full GMC registration
• Experience across a broad range of Medical Subspecialties
• Full MRCP is essential

Main Duties

• Patient care and management
• Attend ward or board rounds (consultant-led twice weekly)
• Maintain medical notes, interpret investigations, write summaries, make referrals
• Write discharge summaries promptly and accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
• Support service needs flexibly
• Supervise and perform medical procedures
• Participate in clinical, governance, and academic meetings
