Job summary

Protyre Autocare in Poole is seeking a Truck Tyre Technician to perform tyre fitting and repairs on commercial vehicles while upholding high safety and quality standards.

You will operate within a busy workshop, adhere to health and safety regulations, and document work accurately. A valid UK driving licence is essential, with the opportunity to progress through funded IMI courses and benefit from staff discounts and other rewards.

Qualifications

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence held for at least 6 months.
• Experience as a commercial tyre fitter / mechanic is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete tyre fitting and repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations.
• Ensure you only work on trained/competent products or services.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies.
• Notify management of any additional faults found on vehicles.

Our Truck Tyre Technicians are responsible for competent tyre fitting and repairs, ensuring work is completed on commercial vehicles safely and to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.

• Location: Based in Poole, callouts as required
• Essential: Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application)

About the role:

• Complete tyre fitting and repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations.
• Ensuring you do not work on any product or service that you have not been assessed as competent in or trained to conduct.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
• Making customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customers vehicle.

About you:

• Previous experience as a commercial or agricultural tyre fitter / mechanic
• Experience in a professional workshop environment
• Ensure the work is carried out in line with Company policies and procedures
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• The willingness to constantly learn and improve your knowledge
• The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work
• Full valid Driving Licence
