Job summary

Protyre Autocare in Cardiff is seeking a Truck Tyre Technician to join our fast-growing national automotive team. You will be responsible for tyre fitting and repairs on commercial vehicles, delivering high standards of service.

Applicants should hold a full clean UK driving licence and have experience in a professional workshop. We support ongoing training with fully funded IMI courses and career development.

Qualifications

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months.
• Experience as a commercial or agricultural tyre fitter / mechanic.
• Experience in a professional workshop environment.

• Willingness to learn and improve knowledge.
• Ability to act on own initiative and take responsibility for quality of work.
• Based in Cardiff or willing to work there.

• Ensure you work only on products you are trained to handle.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with company procedures.

Our Truck Tyre Technicians are responsible for competent tyre fitting and repairs, ensuring work is completed on commercial vehicles safely and to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.

• Location: Based in Cardiff, Brindley Road, callouts as required
• Essential: Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application)

About the role

• Complete tyre fitting and repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations.
• Ensuring you do not work on any product or service that you have not been assessed as competent in or trained to conduct.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
• Making customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customers vehicle.

• Previous experience as a commercial or agricultural tyre fitter / mechanic
• Experience in a professional workshop environment
• Ensure the work is carried out in line with Company policies and procedures
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• The willingness to constantly learn and improve your knowledge
• The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work
• Full valid Driving Licence
