Job summary

Spotmix Ready Mixed Concrete Ltd is seeking a full-time on-site Truck Driver in the Greater Liverpool Area to operate ready-mix concrete trucks and deliver to sites across Merseyside, Cheshire and the Wirral.

You will perform pre- and post-trip checks, load and unload concrete, follow delivery schedules, and maintain accurate delivery documentation while complying with DOT regulations and working closely with dispatch and site personnel to ensure safe, timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid CPC Class 2 license.
• Experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.
• Strong time management and reliability delivering to schedules.
• Good communication with dispatch, site managers and customers.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in the Greater Liverpool Area. The Truck Driver will operate ready-mix concrete trucks, safely transporting and delivering concrete to customer sites across Merseyside, Cheshire, and the Wirral. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading concrete, following delivery schedules, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. The role involves adhering to company procedures and DOT regulations, working closely with dispatch and site personnel, and ensuring safe operation in varied site conditions. The Truck Driver will also help keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid CPC Class 2 license and strong truck driving skills, including experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.
• Experience with unloading materials from trucks and safely maneuvering vehicles on construction and residential sites.
• A strong focus on compliance and risk reduction.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in outdoor environments in varying weather.
• Strong time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery schedules and customer commitments.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, site managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Clean driving record; previous experience in ready-mix, construction, or related industries is an advantage.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures, attend training, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
