Job summary

Welsh Ambulance Service University NHS Trust is seeking an Integrated Care Clinician (Paramedic) in Cwmbran for a Band 6 role across a flexible full/part-time schedule. The post involves remote telephone triage, advising on appropriate interventions, and working autonomously within guidelines.

The role offers varied shifts including nights and weekends, with a fixed 37.5 hour week and a pro rata salary between £40,559 and £48,841.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse (adult or child) or HCPC Registered Paramedic with post-registration experience.
• Evidence of regular update training and continuing professional development as required by regulating bodies.
• Flexible approach to work – rotate shifts including nights and weekends (unsocial hours).

Responsibilities

• Undertake telephone triage assessments of patients using best clinical practice.
• Advise the most appropriate intervention to meet patient needs within Trust policies and guidelines.
• Work in an autonomous capacity, assessing and advising callers within agreed guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a non-patient facing setting within integrated care.
